New Musical Vitals

Beautiful hands touch a naked foot.“Big Feet, Big Love”

My new musical is called “Big Feet, Big Love.” It’s a sexy musical romp with a big cast, a bluesy pop score and two love stories. One day, even the world’s greatest lover grows up. This show includes a 45-page publicity guide with pre-formatted press releases, radio pitches, contests, theme nights and more.

Specific Audience

This show is written for young lovers of any age–from newlyweds to couples celebrating their golden anniversaries. You can find  them at wedding chapels, country clubs, lingerie shops and leather boutiques, fine hotels, restaurants and resorts. “I can see this show at an urban, professional theater, or a liberal arts college with a great dance program,” says Rodney Robbins. “Someplace where the audience comes out to have a good time and people aren’t afraid to stand up and cheer.”

Plot

Richard, our hero, is about to be honored at the Cin Awards, but after 20 years in the porn business, all he wants is a real human connection.

Cast

  • The Leather Lovers (could they be Psyche and Eros?) introduce each scene.
  • Richard Valentine Bigalow (Dick Big), is the reluctant porn star
  • Manny D’Ollare, is the under appreciated producer and Richard’s friend
  • Nevada Jones is a “real woman” and Richard’s love interest
  • Dr. Derick Dendrite, the mad scientist (his parents died in a freak ice fishing accident)
  • Morgan Milligan, the good girl sister
  • Macha Milligan, the bad girl sister
  • Plus 13 small roles for BIG actors

Songs

“Eat More Popcorn” a classic opening number
“Zara’s Party” TV style rockin’ stinger
“Tasty Tonight” is a danceable instrumental
“Donuts Anyone?” Comedy number with a big band swing
“It’s Alive!” Classic Broadway production number
“The Heart Wants What it Wants” A sweet duet
“Fiesta La Noches” Spanish instrumental dance number
“A Fire Filled His Heart” Lament for a lost friend
“Morgan Help Me” Comedy number
“I Want to Say I Love You” Love song duet
“There’s Nothing I Wouldn’t Do for My Man” Blues at it’s best.
“The Dance of Life” Dramatic instrumental
“Stay the Night” Pop lament
“My Top Twenty” Show stopping blues sing along
“Tonight a Brand New Day” Everyone on stage for the closing march

All 15 songs are written as lead sheets with melody and chord symbols. Choosing lead sheets over a full score saves money and gives producers the freedom they need to stage the best possible show with their singers, dancers and audience.

Publicity Support

This new musical comes with a 45 page publicity manual called “Standing Room Only.” The guide includes 25 pre-formatted press releases, bonus headlines and contest suggestions, a dozen radio and television pitches, interview preparation tips for actors and more! The publicity in this book would normally cost $7,000.00, but it’s yours free to help make your new musical a success.

Show Business

This new musical is fully protected by U. S. copyright laws.  All rights (book, music and lyrics) are controlled exclusively by the author who is committed to the show’s success. To that end, the performance contract allows producers wide latitude in promoting this new musical, including:

  • Creating previews for special audiences
  • Using material from the play during television and radio appearances
  • Video taping and posting selected songs on the company website, and
  • Producing and running commercials

There is a one-time up-front performance rights fee of $100.00. In addition, royalties are calculated based on a percentage of the nightly gross box office receipts (ticket sales). The royalty starts at just 5%.

Using a simple royalty-based fee schedule makes business simple, transparent, reliable and predictable. For details, ask the author for a free copy of the Plain English contract.
